Where do Stocks & Shares ISA and Share Plan come in?
Asset Value Investors’ Stocks & Shares ISA and Share Plan schemes are two low risk ways of enjoying stock market returns through an investment trust. They’re also, in the case of a Stocks & Shares ISA , a great way to avoid paying tax† on a portion of your profits.
†Following changes arising from The Finance Act 1998 we will not be able to reclaim the 10% tax credit on shares held within an ISA or PEP from 6th April 2004 onwards.
When you take out a Stocks & Shares ISA or Share Plan, the money you give us is invested in one of the investment trusts we manage. In this case, the British Empire Securities and General Trust (British Empire Trust), one of the oldest and most consistently successful trusts available to investors.
AVI is the investment manger of British Empire Trust and Halifax Share Dealing Limited (HSDL) has been appointed by AVI as the Plan Manager of the Stocks & Shares ISA and the Administrator of the Share Plan.
